Discarded items was the theme Lena gave me. Now this one puzzled me. I mean, rubbish sneaks into photos from time to time but mostly it is something to avoid in photos. Who deliberately takes photos of discard items.
Then when I looking for photos of something else, I realised lots of people do.
Take the photo above that.
This is around the back. More photos here.
Otago & Westralian, in Otago Bay
D.R. Plaister Aquatic House, formerly Hobart Tepid Baths. Back in 2012 they were ear-marked for redevelopement. No idea what happened, what state the building is in or if it’s even there. (Also, the building on the far right, supplied one of yesterday’s door.)
Inside. More photos.
This unused service station is quite a bit closer to home.
These are old railway station buildings at Clarendon. Now I’m told they were brought there to recreate a station building to put alongside the tracks with some idea of having trains stop there. (The tracks are between the buildings and fence behind, but in a “ditch”.) As far as I know, the idea was discarded and they’re no longer there.
Interesting inside, but I don’t think I’ve ever put the photos up.
And finally, this place is just weird. Long Marsh dam: Discarded sandstone blocks.
Really. More photos.
